Job Title: Trauma Surgical Assistant

Location: Facilities across OH

Pay Rate: $50 – $55/hour (based on experience)

Contract Duration: 13 Weeks

Shift: Multiple Shifts available

Position Summary:
We are looking for a Trauma Surgical Assistant to join a fast-paced OR environment. This role involves real-time surgical support during critical trauma interventions including exploratory laparotomies, thoracotomies, and orthopedic trauma cases.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide rapid response assistance during trauma activations
• Maintain visibility in high-blood-loss procedures and support damage control techniques
• Aid in fracture stabilization and wound closure
• Set up surgical trays quickly and maintain sterility under pressure
• Collaborate with trauma surgeons and nursing staff in urgent scenarios

Qualifications:

• 3+ years in trauma or emergency OR settings
• Strong clinical judgment and composure in critical care environments
• Graduate of accredited surgical assisting program or FMG with equivalent experience
• BLS (AHA) – Required
• NSAA, CFA, or RNFA – Preferred
