Job Requirements:

• Certificates and/or Licenses: Active state License for special education teacher assistant in MA
• Education and/or Experience: Associate degree or Bachelor's degree is required, with preferred classroom experience.

Program Details:

• Age grade: Elementary & Middle
• Approximate caseload: 10 to 15 students

Schedule:

• Start and end time: 08:00 am to 03:30 pm
• Start and end dates: ASAP till end of the school year

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: In this role, your main responsibilities will include

• Support students with disabilities in their academic and social development
• Assist special education teacher in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEP)
• Modify and adapt curriculum materials for individual student needs
• Provide specialized instruction and methods to help students reach educational goals
• Monitor student progress and collect data for progress reports
• Create and maintain a positive, inclusive and safe learning environment for students
• Support students with basic needs such as feeding, hygiene, and toileting
• Assist in managing classroom behavior and discipline
• Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other school staff to support student needs
• Attend and participate in professional development and training opportunities.

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour
