Job Summary: Are you passionate about renewable energy and hands-on work? Neil Kelly, one of the nation’s largest and most respected remodeling companies, is seeking a Solar Racking Tech / Installer to join our expanding solar department. As a Solar Racking Tech / Installer, you'll play a crucial role working with a team of skilled professionals to mount solar racking on roofs and assist as a materials handler for electrical work. Our projects include residential, commercial, and battery storage installations across the Portland Metro area.

Job Responsibilities: Solar Installers at Neil Kelly play a key role in delivering high-quality residential and commercial solar PV systems. You'll work closely with project managers, lead installers, and electricians to: Assemble and stage materials for installations and service work. Carry out all phases of rooftop solar installations Assist electricians with wiring and system connections. Ensure jobsites and vehicles are clean, safe, and well-stocked. Comply with local jurisdiction and utility installation requirements. Operate within Neil Kelly’s safety standards and participate in regular trainings.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• 2+ years of solar installation experience or training
• Comfortable with heights, ladder use, and working in outdoor conditions
• Ability to do physical work and lift up to 50 pounds unassisted
• Strong teamwork, communication, and time management skills
• Familiarity with power and hand tools
• Must have a reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license, insurance, and clean driving record
• Willingness to maintain First Aid/CPR and OSHA certifications (training available)
• Strong communication skills, customer service and client interaction skills

Compensation: $26 - $30/hour DOE
