SAIC is seeking a Senior Google Cloud Computing Engineer. The candidate will be part of a team responsible for the architecture design, planning, management, support and oversite of the Cloud One Google Cloud environment. This team is responsible for standing up new Google Cloud environments at IL4 and IL5 compliance level and ensures adherence to service level agreement (SLA) metrics. This work supports the Cloud One program under the Air Force Lifecycle Management Center Office for Network Integration (AFLCMC/HNI). Cloud One is an existing global, interconnected virtualized, hybrid, and IT infrastructure hosting mission systems, applications, service, and date that serve the U.S. Air Force (USAF) and other Government Customers. Cloud One facilitates the Government's efforts to migration applications to a cloud environment allowing for increased efficiencies across the entire spectrum of the USAF operations. This position is 100% remote.
Job Responsibilities:
- Design GCP environments and topologies
- Provide input to Sprint Reviews
- Provide GCP security and monitoring solutions implementation, including automated responses
- Maximize efficient use of tools and automation (scripting – Terraform, ARM templates)
- Configure and troubleshoot cloud, virtual, and physical hardware and software systems
- Proactively identify and resolve operational, tooling and process inefficiencies
- Develop and maintain project and design documentation
- Develop and maintain process and support documentation to update Knowledge base and Standard Operation Procedures
- Provide technical assistance and training to users
- Maintain regular contact with customers during support and projects by responding promptly and effectively to requests
Qualifications
Required Clearance:
- Active Interim Secret clearance required to start; Ability to obtain a Secret clearance required to maintain employment
- US Citizenship required
Required Certifications:
- Active Security + or Equivalent
Required Experience and Skills:
- Demonstrated experience of at least 2 years with: Terraform, Terragrunt, GitLab, Kubernetes and Visio
- Two (2) years experience in Google Cloud Development and/or Engineering environment
- Experience working with DevSecOps tool chains
- Experience working in a team environment with the ability to mentor junior team members
Desired Experience and Skills:
- Experience with some of the following: Artifactory, Jenkins, ADFS, Barracuda, Apache NiFi, Guacamole, Trend Micro, Ingress NGINX, YAML, GCP, Active Directory, F5, SQL, storage, PaaS, IaaS, VPN’s, Networking
- GCP Cloud Certification
- Experience working on other cloud platforms (AWS, Azure or Oracle)
- Experience working in a Google Cloud Environment, GCP
- AF Cloud One or Platform One development, engineering, operations and sustainment
- Experience creating, delegating and prioritizing tickets within an IT ticketing system such as ServiceNow, Jira or Remedy
- Experience preparing Technical Documentation
Target salary range: $125,001 - $150,000. The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
