This Senior Financial Analyst will assist with the initiatives of the Commercial, Supply Chain and Operations teams. This Sr. Financial Analyst will be responsible for analysis in a dynamic environment and supporting the decision process, validating the assumptions and the impact on operations, commercial, and financial results. Functions include building finance models to support the business while applying skills and knowledge of ERP systems, Excel and PowerPoint.

Duties:

The following are essential duties and responsibilities for this position:

\n
• Utilize accounting-based knowledge and advanced Excel skills to effectively communicate financial data for decision making at Sr. levels of the organization.
\n
• Work with the business category leaders and cross functional teams to build financial models and provide analysis needed to support day to day operations and special projects.
\n
• Build, maintain & improve commodity models, research market activity and provide analytics to support internal customers.
\n
• Own critical aspects of the monthly financial reporting processes and close deliverables as well as periodic forecasting.
\n
• Ability to compose concise, simplified written descriptions of complex issues, supported by detailed analysis and effective narrative to engage and influence the audience.
\n
• Develop a solid understanding of the business supported and customers’ needs.
\n
• Proactively analyze and provide data and gather agreement with all partners on relevant issues.
\n
• Demonstrated ability to understand the business needs of the client they support and how financial choices impact their business.
\n
• Strive for high performance and use technical skills effectively with a demonstrated emphasis on detail and accuracy.
\n
• Work in a fast-paced environment, balancing multiple tasks with changing priorities.
\n

Skills/Qualifications:

\n
• Advanced knowledge of Excel is a must . Proficient in PowerPoint, Word, and eager to learn other software applications.
\n
• Ability to provide fact-based recommendations across various levels of management.
\n
• SAP/BI experience or other data warehousing tools preferred.
\n
• Strong financial modeling and analytical skills, with demonstrated critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
\n
• Strong team player who is capable to work across multiple functions.
\n
• Ability to demonstrate continuous improvement in previous roles.
\n
• High level of accountability. A self-starter with strong initiative and the ability to work independently.
\n
• Strong customer service orientation.
\n
• Ability to multi-task, and work in an organized, detailed manner under limited time frames & tight deadlines.
\n
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain results, document processes, and convey ideas.
\n
• Results oriented with a sense of urgency, able to work under deadline pressures.
\n
• Ability to balance multiple tasks with changing priorities
\n

Education and Experience:

\n
• Bachelor’s degree in Business (finance or accounting); MBA or Master-level education a plus
\n
• Must be permanently authorized to work in the United States now and in the future without sponsorship.
\n
• 5+ years of relevant finance experience and/or manufacturing experience preferred
\n
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
\n
• Strong analytical skills and business/financial acumen
\n
• Ability to work in a global business environment
\n
• Advanced Excel skills.
\n
• Project management experience preferred.
\n
• Knowledge of SAP or other large ERP system preferred.
\n
• Experience working cross functionally with other business teams is required.
\n
• Finance or Accounting accreditation preferred, but not required (e.g. CFA, CA or CPA).
\n

Working Location:

\n
• Based in Tampa, FL or Pointe Claire, Canada - In-Office with 10% or less travel requirements.
