Job Description

Our client is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their finance team at their Sarasota office. This role will be responsible for overseeing financial processes, ensuring compliance with US GAAP, and supporting corporate accounting functions. Reporting directly to the Controller, this position offers significant growth potential, with a pathway to an Assistant Controller role. The ideal candidate will have experience in manufacturing accounting, a CPA certification, and a strong background in corporate finance.

Senior Accountant Responsibilities

• Lead the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate reporting within a 3-day close period
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and corporate close activities
• Maintain compliance with US GAAP and internal financial policies
• Collaborate with the corporate office on financial reporting and analysis
• Support the transition to the Epicor ERP system (prior experience not required)
• Assist in financial planning, forecasting, and variance analysis
• Provide support for audits and tax filings as needed
• Work cross-functionally with other departments to ensure financial accuracy and efficiency

Senior Accountant Requirements

• CPA certification is required
• 3-5 years of corporate accounting experience, preferably within the manufacturing industry
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting
• Experience with balance sheet reconciliations and month-end close processes
• Previous exposure to ERP systems (Epicor experience is a plus but not required)
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
• Ability to work on-site in Sarasota, FL, five days a week
