Job Description

Salary: $140,000 - 185,000 per year Requirements:

  • I have at least 8 years of IT experience.
  • I possess a proven technical background with a high degree of comfort in Linux, Oracle databases, AWS cloud, networking concepts, and ITSM-based methodologies.
  • I bring experience working in a production support role, focusing on building reliability through observability and resiliency practices.
  • I am skilled in identifying opportunities to drive efficiencies, improvements, and add value to reduce toil and enhance customer experience.
  • I have experience with relational database systems and cloud-based data warehouses, such as Snowflake, to triage issues or research business requests.
  • I am familiar with batch scheduling tools (e.g., Autosys/Control-M) and ETL processing to troubleshoot batch failures, long-running processes, and lead conversations ensuring cycles complete within defined SLAs.
  • I am experienced with automated deployment tools and techniques (e.g., Concourse, Jenkins, Udeploy).
  • It’s a plus if I have experience with a scripting language (Python, Java, C++).
  • I possess a passion for technology and strong problem-solving skills.
  • I have a proactive mindset to identify opportunities to add value and drive efficiencies.
  • I have experience in automating manual processes using my scripting expertise.
  • I bring leadership and technical skills to navigate production issues or customer requests effectively.
  • I have experience leading crisis or high-impact incident calls to mitigate issues and drive postmortem discussions.
  • I am passionate about improving team operations and training teammates.
  • I possess strong communication skills and take a collaborative approach to problem-solving.
  • I have expertise within IT Service Management processes and policies.
Responsibilities:
  • I support a portfolio of critical applications running in a sophisticated, globally distributed environment.
  • I apply my technical expertise and leadership experience to improve stability and customer experience, while identifying solutions to challenging technical problems.
  • I participate in an on-call rotation with other team members to provide outstanding support to our customers (weekend rotation required).
  • I assist with the successful rollout of new products by coordinating the activities required for launch and ongoing support.
  • I advocate for production stability and supportability by working directly with engineering teams to find opportunities for improvements.
