For, indeed, that's all who ever have." -Margaret Mead What: We are looking for caregivers to help care for clients (mainly fragile, ill, disabled, and/or elderly), one-on-one, in their homes. We hire nursing students, State Tested Nursing Aides (STNAs), Home Health Aides (HHAs), Medical Assistants (MAs), *OR* anyone else with a heart & desire to care for others, who are willing to learn & become a professional caregiver. When: Short shift, long shifts, morning shifts, afternoon shifts, part-time hours, or full-time hours. We currently have them all! Where: Clients are located throughout eastern Eastern Cuyahoga, Lake, Geauga, Northern Portage, and Northern Summit Counties. We are especially in need of caregivers for our clients in Lake County. Pay: Starting at $15.25 per hour Why: a) It will look good on your future resume, b) You can practice the skills you learn in the classroom in a more relaxed 1-on-1 environment, c) We write pretty darn good letters of recommendation for future nursing jobs, d) Get hands-on practice using equipment such as hoyer lifts, gait belts, slide boards, catheters, colostomy bags, & diabetic tools, & e) We'll work around your school schedule. Qualifications

• 18 years or age or older
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Ability to pass a criminal background check
• Willing to drive to client's homes, up to 30 minutes away
• Good interpersonal skills
• Prior experience in a healthcare, hospitality, or in-home care environment (preferred but not required). We'll train, if you're willing to learn!
• Ability and willingness to complete online continuing education training classes (8 hours of training required per year)
• Reliability: Professionalism and discipline to arrive to clients' homes, on time, every time

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and hygiene assistance, such as showering, bathing, toileting, incontinence care, grooming, and dressing
• Remind clients to take prescribed medication and assist them with monitoring vitals
• Help with mobility around the house or outside (doctor’s appointments, walks, preventing falls, etc.)
• Plan and prepare meals and/or assist with feeding
• Run errands for the client or accompany them to successfully do so
• Keep the clients engaged in favorite activities and conversation
• Act quickly and responsibly in cases of emergency
• Light housekeeping & laundry
