This is an exciting part-time opportunity to contribute local, regional, and national content in a dynamic newsroom environment. Must be able to work nights, holidays, and weekends. **What You'll Do:** + Anchor newscasts for multiple markets. + Write clear, concise news copy. + Produce, edit and write content for 24/7 Newswire. + Post news and video content to newsroom social media platforms. + Gather audio from press conferences, live events and partner TV stations. + Produce short-form reports (voicers/wraps) for anchors on the following shift. + May be called on to anchor breaking news reports as needed. + General newsroom responsibilities and duties as assigned. **What You'll Need:** + Self-motivated in finding stories as a reporter and also anchoring newscasts. + Strong social media skills including email, writing/posting for Facebook, X, and Instagram. + Must be willing to work nights, holidays, and weekends. + Strong on-air presence and ability to present newscasts with authority. + Excellent writing and editing ability; excellent grammar. + Strong time management skills; adept at setting priorities and managing deadlines. + Knowledgeable and up to date with local, regional, and national trends. + Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment. + Proficient in media production (primarily audio) and broadcast systems. + 3+ years' experience in on-air journalism in smaller market or college station. + 4-year college degree, preferably in Broadcast Journalism or Communications. **What You'll Bring:** + Respect for others and a strong belief that others should do this in return + Full proficiency and understanding of job function + Open communication with colleagues and direct reports that encourages collaboration and team consensus + Strong problem solving skills + Efficiency with independent work under minimal guidance + Commitment to process improvement for overall team effectiveness + Professional communication that stresses diplomacy, empathy and patience **Compensation:** Salary to be determined by multiple factors including but not limited to relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications, and alignment with market data. $22.00 - $27.50 **Location:** Denver, CO: 4695 S.
