Position: Medical Assistant / Records Clerk

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Assistant / Records Clerk to join our team on a full time, permanent basis. This individual will be responsible for assisting with medical tasks and maintaining accurate records for our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with medical tasks such as scheduling appointments, taking vitals, and preparing patients for exams
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for all clients
- Ensure all medical records are kept confidential and in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Communicate with medical providers and insurance companies to obtain necessary information and authorizations
- Coordinate with team members to ensure timely and accurate processing of medical records
- Assist with administrative tasks such as answering phones, scheduling appointments, and organizing paperwork
- Maintain a clean and organized medical office environment
- Provide exceptional customer service to clients and their families
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) certification preferred
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a medical office or related field
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
- Must be able to multitask and work well under pressure
- Passion for sports and understanding of the unique needs of professional athletes is a plus
