ABOUT THE JOB:

Summary:
This position is responsible for providing supervision of staff including 1-1 meetings with direct reports, annual performance reviews, coaching and mentoring as needed. This position works closely with the Social Work Director and Social Work Leadership team, and provides management of performance improvement initiatives, EPIC productivity reports and department committees. This position is also responsible for effectively planning, developing, and evaluating ongoing staff performance and workload issues, to ensure adequate coverage for all clinical responsibilities.

Shift Details : Full-time   Day shifts

The Social Work Ambulatory manager will lead staff who work in the Specialty Care areas of Dallas and Cityville and  responsible for direct supervision of programs and clinical practice for ambulatory staff.

Responsibilities:

* Plan, develop, and manage social work clinical performance and workload assignments.
* Provide supervision of staff, including quarterly meetings w/ direct reports, PEAC updates, & completing annual PEAC reviews. Make recommendations to director regarding personnel actions. Provide guidance, coaching and feedback as needed.
* Responsible for management of performance improvement initiatives including maintaining annual department productivity and assisting with the development of departmental process improvement tools. Monitors changes in practice policies that impact clinical outcomes.
* Works closely with the Director of Social Work regarding departmental readiness initiatives (Joint Commission, Code Yellow, etc.) and in development of action plans to address areas for improvement.

* Work closely with the leadership teams in the Ambulatory Specialty Center to represent Social Work responsibilities and needs through building a strong network relationship with the various practice administrators and directors.

* Investigate potential new programs and patient resources.

* Makes decisions for the team, seeking direction from more senior leaders on more complex situations

* At Least 3 years of Leadership experience - Req

EDUCATION

* Master’s Degree in Social Work

LICENSES and CERTIFICATIONS:

* Lic Master Social Worker (LMSW)- Req

* Lic Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)- Pref
