Industrial Electrician – Greensburg, IN
💵 $37–$40/hr | Full-Time | Temp-to-Perm
We’re hiring a skilled Industrial Electrician to join our facilities maintenance team in Greensburg, IN. This role focuses on power distribution systems, preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting for an industrial facility.
🔌 What You’ll Do
· Read blueprints, specifications, and system performance data to configure and maintain components like compressors, motors, pumps, fans, switches, controls, and power distribution equipment.
· Install power supply wiring and conduit for new machines and building systems.
· Diagnose and repair malfunctioning systems including transformers, MCC panels, VFDs, lighting fixtures, and fire alarm systems.
· Plan wiring layouts and install conduit, panels, breakers, disconnects, and other apparatus.
· Perform preventative maintenance and daily assessments of plant systems.
· Assist other trades with general equipment maintenance and repair as needed.
· Maintain a clean, safe work environment and complete all related paperwork accurately.
✅ What We’re Looking For
· Completion of an Electrical Apprenticeship Program or technical school graduate with Journeyman status.
·5–7 years of industrial electrical experience in a manufacturing environment.
· Strong knowledge of:
o Electrical Power Distribution Systems
o Reading and interpreting electrical one-lines, wiring diagrams, and schematics
o Motor controls, VFDs, PLC/BMS systems, and troubleshooting control circuits.
· Experience with:
o High voltage switches, substations, busways, MCC, transformers, breakers, panels, disconnects
o Tools like Megger, voltmeter, amp clamp, and PPE (Arc Flash suits, hot sticks, grounding equipment)
· Certifications: NFPA 70E, Aerial Lift/Boom Lift
· Safety-first mindset with familiarity in Lockout/Tagout and National Electrical Code compliance.
· Ability to self-start, prioritize work orders, and adapt to facility needs beyond electrical duties.
