Black Bear Talent is hiring a General Accountant. This role will be responsible for creating and maintaining accurate and complete financial documentation for monthly and annual reporting.

Responsibilities:

• Assists in maintaining the G/L account structure in accordance with established departmental procedures.
• Reviews and prepares monthly general journal entries and maintains related documentation following departmental procedures.
• Reviews financial documents for accuracy and completes account reconciliations.
• Analyzes financial data for monthly financial statements and provides recommendations based on findings.
• Ensures financial records comply with GAAP.
• Generates financial reports as required.
• Collaborates with internal departments to maintain accurate records and provide accounting support.
• Prepares reconciliations and schedules for interim and annual audits in a manner that minimizes time and effort for the auditing process, following audit firm and departmental guidelines.
• Serves as the accountant responsible for Fixed Assets—analyzes and enters all capital additions, disposals, and retirements into the system.
• Prepares asset reconciliations and reports.
• Works with the Corporate Controller on capital-related processes. Trains end users on Capital Tracking software and reporting and works closely with project managers to track expenses.
• Serves as the accountant responsible for cash reconciliation, prepares daily cash tracking/projection reports, completes all cash-related ledger entries and reconciliations, coordinates with the Director of Treasury on cash processes and issues, and performs annual internal audits at deposit locations.
• Assists with other finance functions as needed to support balanced workloads and strengthen a team-focused finance environment. All functions must be performed in accordance with departmental procedures and guidelines.

• Generate documentation for processes
• When necessary, you may be required to work: on weekdays, weekends, evenings, and/or night shifts. On holidays or additional shifts. During emergencies or inclement weather situations (e.g., hurricane, flood, snowstorm, etc.). Additional hours beyond the scheduled workday or shift based on operational needs.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance or Accounting
• Advanced knowledge of a specialized or technical field or a thorough knowledge of the practices and techniques of a professional field
• Professional accounting skills and knowledge by relating training courses or journal information. Especially accounting as it relates to the medical field.
• Develops ideas that result in improvement to existing programs, services pr processes.
• Participate in project launch and testing of accounting software upgrade
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
