Schedule: Full-time and part-time shifts available for AM, PM, and NOC. 

Wage: $14.15/hr & $14.55/hr after 90 days!

Job Description

A Direct Support Professional (DSP) caregiver provides direct support, positive direction, instruction, and assistance to individuals with mental, intellectual & developmental, and physical disabilities. The ultimate goal is to empower individuals with disabilities to live as independently and comfortably as possible while maintaining their dignity and respect. Join our team as a Direct Support Professional / Caregiver in Gallup, NM.

What You Get to Do: 

• Provide hands-on assistance, encouragement, mentoring, and guidance.
• Ensure the comfort, safety, and personal growth of the individuals we serve.
• Assist with daily living tasks such as moving around, getting in and out of bed, dressing, bathing, personal hygiene and more.
• Light housekeeping tasks and meal preparation.
• Build relationships with persons served and teammates.
• Attend special community occasions and fun activities like outdoor walks, games, and social events.
• Transport persons served to appointments or other activities outside the home.
• Empower people with disabilities to live life to the fullest.
• Document progress, milestones, and action steps.

Qualifications

• 18 years or older
• Must have a high school diploma or GED Certification
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
• Person-centered, patient, and kind

• Computer skills for documentation
• Successful clearance of a criminal background check for licensing requirement
