About Us: Dakota Stones is a leading gemstone brand with a loyal following of designers, collectors, and jewelry makers. We run weekly product promos and need a dedicated video creator who can help us level up our short-form content - Reels, TikToks, and Facebook Lives - filmed in person here in Minneapolis. What We’re Looking For: We need someone who can do more than just edit - we’re looking for a creative partner who can film, direct, and guide our team each week. You’ll work closely with our on-camera talent and marketing team to bring fresh, strategic content to life. What You’ll Do: Collaborate with us on video ideas aligned with our weekly promo calendar. Film product-focused content with our in-house talent (usually in-studio or on-site). Edit short-form videos for Instagram Reels, TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube Shorts. Handle posting with captions, hashtags, and platform-optimized formatting. Help us experiment, iterate, and grow engagement organically. What You Bring: Strong filming and editing skills - phone, DSLR, doesn’t matter as long as you deliver quality. Experience with short-form video content (especially product or personality-driven). Familiarity with Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook best practices. A strategic mindset: you help us shape the content, not just execute instructions. Availability to meet on location in Minneapolis a few hours per week. Nice to Have: Familiarity with vertical storytelling for eCommerce or retail. Confidence giving light direction or coaching to talent during filming. Interest in gemstones, crafts, or small business storytelling.
