Job Title: Diesel Mechanic / Small Engine Technician
Location: Arentsen Farm Sales and Service Inc.
Job Type: Full-Time
Salary: Competitive, based on experience
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 AM – 4:30 PM (occasional overtime as needed)

Position Overview:
As a technician at Arentsen Farm Sales and Service, you will inspect, diagnose, maintain, and repair a wide range of diesel and small engine equipment. This role is ideal for someone with a strong mechanical background who thrives in a hands-on, team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and repair diesel engines, small engines, and related equipment
• Perform scheduled maintenance and preventative service
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
• Keep detailed service records and work orders
• Maintain tools and work areas in a clean, safe condition
• Communicate effectively with team members and customers

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of experience in diesel mechanics or small engine repair
• Knowledge of two-stroke and four-stroke engines
• Experience with diagnostic and repair tools
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physically demanding tasks
• Valid driver’s license with a clean record
• High school diploma or equivalent; trade certification is a plus

Preferred Experience:

• Agricultural equipment experience
