Salary Range: $114,000.00 To 167,000.00 Annually
The expected pay range is based on many factors such as geography, experience, education, and the market. The range is subject to change.
Remote position - must reside in California.
What You Will Be Doing:
Under direct supervision, responsible for completing service requests per user specifications, and leading the design and monitoring of the data warehouse.
Must have SQL, SSIS, and Python experience.
- Leads and participates in resolving service requests by collecting system/business reporting and/or data requirements by interviewing stakeholders, identifying project scopes, and acting as the liaison between cross functional teams.
- Documents data warehouse business rules for collection, aggregation, standardization and validation of data via documented standards and guidelines.
- Develops and prepares reports that efficiently and effectively fulfill the agreed upon requirements.
- Makes recommendations for or identifies appropriate data sourcing, relative to the system of record in order to ensure data integrity/accuracy.
- Conducts data profiling to understand data relationships and recommends conforming logic.
- Conducts data modeling and maintains data models.
- Maintains templates for capturing metadata.
- Conducts and/or participates in peer review activities within the team as needed.
- Builds ETL (extract, transform, and load) packages to move data from one area to the next.

- In-depth knowledge of relational databases, with the ability to perform normalization and denormalization.
- In-depth knowledge of SQL Server query development with demonstrated experience in data profiling and SQL report creation.
- Strong experience with a report development application, such as SSRS.
- Strong experience with ETL development applications, including SSIS.
- In-depth experience documenting technical specifications with demonstrated experience using standards such as IEEE.
- In-depth knowledge of the software development life cycle with demonstrated experience in unit, integration and regression testing of deliverables.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong knowledge of the role of a Data Governance program in particular for data warehousing and for the business in general.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective and collaborative working relationships with individuals at all levels.
- Ability to effectively communicate complex technical issues to technical and non-technical audiences, make presentations and write technical specifications.

Preferred
- Strong knowledge of health care with demonstrated experience in healthcare specific computer hardware and software.
- Strong knowledge of health care information system with demonstrated experience reporting from systems such as QNXT claims payment system.
- Strong knowledge in managed care.
- Strong knowledge in the Agile Scrum development framework.
- Strong knowledge in a diagraming software application such as Microsoft Visio, with ability to create data/process flow diagrams from business requirements.
What You Have:
Education and Experience
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science; Management Information System; Computer Information System; Applied Mathematics.
- At least eight years of data warehouse development and programming experience.
- Equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred
- Experience in a health care environment.
