Vocovision is interviewing fora part-time remote School Sign Language Interpreter to facilitate meaningful interactions between K-12 students who are deaf or hard of hearing and their teachers in a ColoradoSchool District.

• Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL) is essential.
• Two years of previous experience working as a Sign Language Interpreter in an educational setting is preferred.
• EIPA Score of 3.5 and written exam
• Reliable internet connection and necessary technological equipment for remote work.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

• Providing real-time sign language interpretation for K-12students during virtual classes and educational activities.
• Ensuring accurate and clear interpretation of spoken language into American Sign Language (ASL) and vice versa.
• Collaborating with teachers, special education professionals, and other support staff to create an inclusive learning environment.
• Adhering to the established curriculum and educational goals while adapting your interpretation to suit the students' needs.
• Assisting in modifying materials and assignments to make them accessible to students with hearing impairments.
