Location(s): Melvile Elementary School, Hathaway Elementary

Schedule: Monday-Friday mornings and afternoons from 6:45am - 9:00am and 2:45pm to 6:00pm

As an AlphaBEST Guide, you'll be trained and have the chance to do the following:

• Plan and facilitate core programming to advance the physical, social, emotional, and intellectual development of children.
• Work collaboratively with peers to share program-related information and complete adventurous tasks that ignite a child's sense of wonder.
• Encourage creativity and intellectual curiosity by building on the student's interests and talents.
• Provide a caring, family-oriented environment where positive staff, child, and parent relationships are fostered.

Proof of experience through ONE of the following options is required:

• High School Diploma with a vocational concentration in child care and has two years supervised experience in a licensed/approved Early Childhood Program
• Be at least eighteen years of age and hold a High School Diploma or a GED certificate to assume the role of Teacher Assistant.
