Job Description

Overview

Registered Behavior Technicians provide one-on-one care through ABA behavior interventions to teach communication, practice daily living skills, and encourage positive behaviors. These services are provided in our clinics, family homes, and the community. An RBT works alongside a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), who will create the care plan and monitor the progress.

Responsibilities:

Provide 1-on-1 direct care to children with autism in clinics, at home, or in the community.

Manageable case load

Teach daily living and social skills using evidence-based treatments and positive reinforcement.

Implement therapy sessions designed by a BCBA.

Establish a relationship with the client to assess interests and motivators to effectively implement the behavior plan.

Accurately collect unbiased behavior data during sessions.

Collaborate and participate in clinical team meetings and ongoing training.

Communicate proactively with fellow RBTs, BCBAs, families, and Clinical Directors to support the clients' needs.

Maintain BACB Ethical Compliance Code for RBTs.

Qualifications:

Highschool diploma or equivalent required (associate or bachelor's degree in a human services area preferred ).

Being comfortable working with children.

Strong communication skills for speaking with clients' families and writing session notes.

Confident interpersonal skills for interactions with the clients' families.

Complete company provided RBT training and pass the RBT exam (within 90-days after hire).

Reliable transportation (valid driver's license preferred).

1 year of experience working with children is preferred but not required.
