Job Description

As Weidenhammer continues to rapidly grow our web, commerce, and digital marketing agency services and solutions, we are in search of an ambitious Account Executive to help continue scaling our business. An ideal fit for this role is someone who has a passion for consultative sales and lead generation. The ability to identify a client's marketing problems/needs and cultivate potential solutions should come naturally. An ability to learn quickly in this fast-paced technical and creative environment is a key quality of this role. The ideal candidate will be high-energy and possess an outgoing personality. They will need to be results oriented and have demonstrated success in marketing and/or commerce agency sales. Responsibilities/Essential Functions

  • Establish and evolve a scalable agency sales model and approach.
  • Generate the majority of net-new business and manage new client acquisition strategies.
  • Responsible for generating revenue from new accounts and select current clients.
  • Be a face of the agency in select regional networking events and conferences.
  • Represent the full service offering of the agency including marketing strategy, website design/development, ecommerce, content marketing, email marketing, marketing automation, SEO, SEM, social media, content marketing, graphic design, programmatic marketing and photography/video.
  • Build a sales pipeline by cultivating prospects, creating new business opportunities and managing/expanding existing customer relationships using CRM tools.
  • Create and deliver sales presentations to key decision makers in targeted accounts.
  • Draft initial quotes and proposals for qualified opportunities.
  • Meet revenue and activity goals as set by the leadership team.
  • Maintain a knowledge of ever-evolving marketing/commerce tactics and platforms.
  • Manage and expand third-party relationships with platform providers and marketing agencies.
  • As the agency business grows, build a sales team and foster an environment for account executive success.
Qualifications/Competencies Track record of success in business development and sales in a digital marketing agency or related environment. A passion for and thorough understanding of the digital marketing marketplace. Excellent organizational, project management and problem-solving skills. A high level of numeracy and literacy with strong attention to detail. Ability to multitask and work under pressure. Ability to build and maintain strong working relationships internally and externally. Well-presented and able to present to senior client contacts. Confident with a relaxed, yet persuasive manner and able to build a rapport quickly. Required Education and Experience An undergraduate degree or related field experience.
  • 5-7 years experience working in a client facing marketing consulting or business development role.
  • Proven success in managing all stages of the sales cycle including prospecting, needs analysis, presentation, proposal, negotiation and closing.
  • Positive track record of meeting and exceeding sales goals.
